Description
Product description
Poron XRD is a high energy absorption, fast rebound, lightweight, and breathable polyurethane foam. It is one of the best materials for wearable, multi-impact protection, and it converts cleanly into thin pads for electronics.

Characteristics
- Intelligent impact response. Soft and flexible in normal use, so it is comfortable to wear. On impact the cell structure locks and hardens instantly, absorbs and spreads the force, then returns to its original state.
- Lightweight and conformable. Thin and light, it follows the contour of the body or the part and gives protection without a sense of restraint.
- High energy absorption. The microcellular structure can absorb up to 90% of impact energy and stays stable under repeated, high-frequency impacts.
- Comfort and durability. Breathable designs with ventilation grooves, waterproof and sweat resistant, with antibacterial and machine-washable options on some grades.
- Temperature stability. Performance stays stable from -40 to 100 °C.
Applications
- Sports protective equipment: back, wrist, hip, and knee guards for skiing, motorcycling, and extreme sports.
- Industrial and automotive: breathable foam parts that take continuous impact without damage; cushioning in automotive interiors and industrial components where compression, vibration, and stress relaxation matter.
- Electronic device protection: vibration damping and noise reduction in phones and other mobile devices, acting as a dynamic absorber that cuts resonance and energy transfer; environmental sealing that resists compression set.
- Other protective uses: professional protective clothing, including jackets, trousers, and shoes built to abrasion and impact standards such as the EN 13595 series.

4701 series foam for electronics
For phones, tablets, and laptops, the 4701 series is cut from 0.5 to 12.7 mm thick to the customer drawing. It cushions, seals, absorbs sound, resists shock, and handles heat. Versions with PET backing and flame retardancy, and ultra-thin non-adhesive sheets, are listed under related products below.
Customization
- Shape and size to your drawing
- Thickness and density
- Adhesive backing, single- or double-sided
- Rolls or die-cut pieces on a liner
- Packaging and logo
Converting at Meetall
Foam is laminated to adhesive before cutting, then cut on flatbed presses or the ten-station rotary line. A laser first article confirms the gap before tooling.
Packing and delivery
Rolls and sheets are packed flat in cartons. Die-cut parts stay on the liner.
