Sound and sealing pull in opposite directions
Membrane and mesh are matched to the port and cut as one laminated part, so the acoustic path is set by the drawing.
Acoustic membranes, dust mesh, damping foam, and port adhesive that keep water out without muffling the sound.
Application
An earbud or speaker port has two jobs that fight each other. It has to pass sound, and it has to stop water, sweat, and pocket dust. The membrane and the mesh settle that fight, and they are usually cut as a pair.
Inside the housing, foam damps the cavity and closes gaps that would buzz. Double-sided adhesive holds the driver, the cover, and the mesh in place without spreading over the opening.
Registration matters here more than almost anywhere. A mesh that shifts covers the hole it was meant to protect, and an adhesive ring that drifts changes how the port sounds. Our combination lines are built for that alignment.

Adhesive rings are registered to the opening on the combination lines and checked on the 2.5D vision machine.
Laser samples confirm the outline, then the rotary line carries the volume on a web.
Membranes block liquid at the port while the housing can still breathe.

Delivery formats
Tell us how the part goes on: by hand, in a fixture, or from a web. Each format below comes from a named machine on the floor.
Kunlun KL-QP-350 sheet cutters × 2
Parts kept on a carrier sheet, counted and stacked, for hand placement or low-volume fixtures.
Kunlun KL-FTJ-1300 CNC slitter, Hadesheng rotary
Parts cut on a continuous web and wound to width, for long runs and feeders that pull from a roll.
Kunlun and Hongwen laminators × 16
Membrane, mesh, foam, or film combined with adhesive and liner before the cut, so one part replaces several.

First articles cut from the drawing without a tool, for fit trials before steel is committed.

Yes. They can be laminated with the adhesive ring and cut together, so one piece goes onto the port.
